Use OpenDNS
Use OpenDNS for improved stability and performance
- by making OpenDNS your DNS server. It's free and quick to do. The
procedure for Windows XP is:
Step 1. Select Start, Control Panel,
Network Connections and double-click your network connection.
OR
Step 1. Double-click the network icon in the Taskbar (usually
bottom-right of your screen)
Step
2. Click on the properties button
Step
3. Select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and click Properties.
Step4.
Click the radio button "Use the following DNS server addresses"
and type in the OpenDNS addresses in the Preferred DNS server and Alternate
DNS server fields (208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220 respectively).
Step 5. Click OK to apply changes.
